The Style

  • Interactive and intense
  • The MAT method of teaching focuses on 80% student speaking
  • Repetition, intonation, speed and rhythm are important part of this method.
  • We "Model" the language by using flashcards, drawings and acting.
  • Then "Act" out scripts and dialogs. We also assign actions to the vocabulary. The "Act" part is important to give a physical response to the language.
  • Finally you "Talk" or share your experiences which allows you to internalize and personalize the language.

The Structure:

  • Native speakers teach the class
  • Teachers only speak the language you are learning
  • We use books that are entirely in the language you are learning
  • The class sizes are no bigger than 10.
  • Each class focuses on your individual needs for the language.
